Tonight we address the most important issue of this or any other year's Folk Festival - where is the most likely place to hear a Springsteen cover? Plenty of options this year with Leeroy Stagger, The Avett Brothers, Levon Helm and The Swell Season hanging out in Birds Hill Park this year. One of out favourite annual traditions on the TwangTrust for the last five years was our pre-fest visit from Dauphin Countryfest Entertainment Guru, Neil Peterson. Neil booked the big-hat acts to make some dough and keep the festival strong, but booked the smaller "TwangTrusty" acts because he loved them. Sadly, we lost Neil in April. He was one of the greatest music fans we've ever been privileged to meet and we preview his final Countryfest lineup and pay tribute to our friend tonight.

Criminally remembered usually as a novelty artist, I was thrilled to walk into McNally Robinson and see a brand new book about Miller on the shelf. Equally jaw-dropping was the fact that the writer was from Winnipeg. Author Lyle E. Style visits the TwangTrust to delve into stories and music about this neglected genius.
